Sometimes inspiration comes on a palette knife and you just have to go with it? Think back to teenage days, when it might have been easier to use a trowel to apply foundation, then a brush?! You know what I mean, when the notion of blending from your face to neck, well that was an alien idea!! This Exhibition has been going in a different direction. I’ve had no time to procrastinate, which has been nice in a funny sort of way. Before I started this collection, I had begun to feel like my work was looking a little flat or missing something? I thought, it’s too boring to be boring? So I ran with new techniques and application methods, a little crazy, a little out to lunch but, I’m loving it and I hope you do too. ‘Pass Me The Trowel, Darling’
